I had been working on a new jewelry blank the past few months. I believe I started it around the 1st of November and have been slowing working on it since then. It started out sortof rough. After I made the components, I stacked the pile of glass as high as I usually do - almost 2 inches. Guess that was a little high as it broke in the firing. But I was able to press on and it wasn't a big deal

Finally finished a wedding present I've been working on for the last 4-5 months or so. I think I can post the start to finish here as the couple doesn't read my blog. Hopefully. I wanted to choose colors that weren't too wild but something that would still have color so I went with blues and grays. I started with a pile of glass that I chunk-ed up. I went to the new restaurant Bacon when it opened and had a breakfast taco but have been meaning to go back since then. They have a hamburger that is 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 bacon. But I needed to really prepare myself for trying it. On one hand it sounded totally awesome but on the other hand I thought it might be huge and have chunks of coagulated bacon fat in it and that would gross me out.

Been playing around with making clay pieces using gashu (dark "paint" on clay, then press texture into it and then throw it out thinner to stretch it, before shaping it).
